​Reopened in June 2016, the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach has set a new standard for the quality of an upper select service asset in the Waikiki market.​

​The redevelopment involved complete replacement of all exterior glazing, electrical, plumbing, and cosmetic finishes, plus the addition of a new elevator to the building exterior.  The redevelopment also included the conversion of the former low-ceiling lobby to an inspiring two story focal point, and the relocation of the central chiller plant from the basement to a rooftop mechanical penthouse atop the 20-story structure.​

In 2014, Channel West joined as an investor in an already formed partnership to redevelop and asset manage the former Ohana West Waikiki hotel as it was redeveloped and transformed into the 623-room Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach.  Channel West took a leading role in the redevelopment process and continues as asset manager of the now operating hotel.​
