Andrew Estes, Vice President

Mr. Estes has worked in the fields of commercial real estate, business valuation, and banking since 2004. He joined Channel West in October 2011. Prior to joining Channel West, he was a loan officer in First Hawaiian Bank's corporate banking division. His primary responsibilities included loan underwriting, portfolio management and servicing credit facilities for a mix of large Hawaii business and blue-chip companies throughout the United States. Prior to joining First Hawaiian Bank, Mr. Estes performed analytical and valuation duties for a boutique financial advisory company in Chicago.

​Mr. Estes received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in Real Estate Finance and Investment Management from the John E. Anderson School at UCLA.

Dan Pinheiro, Associate


Mr. Pinheiro has worked in commercial real estate and with structured mortgage products since 2012.  Prior to joining Channel West in January of 2015, he was an analyst in Bank of America’s Legacy Asset Servicing division servicing Private-Label RMBS.

Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Pinheiro worked at UBS Private Wealth Management in Century City.​​Mr. Pinheiro received a B.S. in Finance from Pepperdine University.

Steve McKenzie, Managing Partner​


Mr. McKenzie has worked in real estate acquisitions, asset management, investment banking, and advisory capacities for more than 30 years. Prior to the formation of Channel West Group, he was a Managing Director with Eastdil Secured where he was one of the firm's most senior professionals devoted to its West Coast operations, with particular emphasis on the lodging and multifamily sectors and the Hawaiian real estate markets. During his fourteen year tenure at Eastdil Secured, Mr. McKenzie performed advisory and transactional assignments which exceed $10 billion in valuation.

​Prior to joining Eastdil Secured, Mr. McKenzie's experience includes tenures at MetLife Real Estate Investments and VMS Realty Partners. During his career, he has been responsible for acquisitions of all asset types and asset management of office, hotel, retail, residential and mixed use projects, as well as dispositions and joint venture structuring/restructuring activities. 

Mr. McKenzie received a B.A. in Economics from Wheaton College, is a licensed real estate broker, and holds series 7 and series 63 securities licenses.
